The Benefits Of A Developed Intuition

I consider myself to be an intuitive tarot reader.  There is actually a very fine line between intuition and psychic abilities and there is definitely some cross over.  That’s a whole other blog post though.

Since working deeper with the tarot I have found my intuition getting stronger day by day.  I don’t get surprised any more when I think of somebody and they call 2 minutes later.  Just the other day I was thinking about an ex colleague, who I haven’t heard from in almost a year.  When I got to work there was an email from her in my inbox.  These situations, which I would have put down to coincidence before, happen regularly.

Let’s look at the definition of intuition…

It’s all about following your instincts to ensure that you are on the right path.  You could easily replace instinct with higher self, subconscious, spirit or gut feeling.

I’ve developed a 7 day challenge to help you take the first steps to activating and developing your intuition.  This is a free course with 6 simple tools that you will learn to help you get in touch with your intuition.  The challenges are bite sized and will only take you 5 to 10 minutes per day so it’s very achievable but can have a huge impact.

If you would like to sign up for the challenge just click here to register.  You will also get a free guided meditation and workbook/journal that you can download.

It’s all very well awakening your intuition but what does that actually mean and how will it make a difference to your life?

In this post I look at some of the key benefits that we can gain when we start to hear the call from within and spot the signs that are guiding us.

1. Clearly Hear Your Inner Voice

You will be hard pushed to find any successful entrepreneur or business person who does not talk about ‘gut feeling’.  Having a well developed intuition means that we clear space to hear that inner voice and let it guide us on the right path.  Once you start to understand the difference between inner voice and ego (heart and head) you will feel much more empowered and confident when making tough decisions about which road to take.

2. Become More Creative

One of the challenges that I have built into the course is to do something creative or make something.  People with a strong intuition tend to be more creative as creatively is closely linked with intuition.  On the flip side you will find that people who are already highly creative will often be guided by gut feeling.  We are all creative and intuitive beings but we often block ourselves from truly expressing either.

3. Build Stronger Relationships

Intuition and empathy are closely linked.  You start to ‘feel’ what those around you are feeling which in turn makes you far more understanding and less likely to react negatively.  When you show empathy to somebody they will open up to you on a much deeper level which will make you a better friend, colleague or partner.

4. Reduced Stress Levels

Once you start to hear and trust that inner voice you become much more mindful.  All of a sudden you will start to notice signs and just be more aware of what is happening around you.  It’s been proven that people who practice mindfulness have much lower stress levels.  You also find those negative and destructive voices start to fade which makes life far more enjoyable.

5. Find Your Purpose Or Calling

You might want to check out my previous post on finding your calling.  How amazing would it be to find that calling in life where you are completely happy with what you are doing?  It is possible.  Actually I recently watched a TED Talk which was about how to find work you love.  It’s worth a look…..

We all have that inner voice telling us what we should be doing with our life.  Sometimes it will be screaming but we have so much ‘stuff’ going on in our head that we just can’t hear it.   Strengthening your intuition clears the clutter and lets that voice sing with crystal clear tones.

6. Enjoy New Life Experiences

Following your inner voice can lead us to places that we never thought we would go.  We somehow have managed to create all these self-limiting beliefs that hold us back.  How often do you find yourself saying “I can’t do that” or “That will never happen for me”?  You know what….it’s just not true.

Following your inner voice could lead you in a completely new direction.  How inspiring is it when we hear of 90 year olds sky-diving or somebody just packing up their life to live in another country with no job or anything to go to?  The thing is that we don’t have to wait until we are 90 to do these things.  Your intuition knows what is best for you and it won’t take you in the wrong direction.  Just go with it and grab life’s opportunities when they are there for you.

7. Know When To Say “NO”

It’s all very well letting our inner voice guide us in new directions but once we start to trust what we are ‘feeling’ we can also build more confidence to say no.  Maybe you have been offered a promotion but you just feel in your gut that it’s not the right move for you.  Your head is screaming to take it because it’s more money and career progression but your intuition is telling you that it’s wrong wrong wrong.

People with well developed intuition have no problem saying no as they understand that the inner voice is screaming for reason.  This is a tough one but once you master it there will be no holding you back.

8. Learn Who To Trust

I’m sure that we can all relate to this.  Sometimes we just get a bad feeling when we meet somebody new.  It’s not necessarily that the person is bad, but there is always a reason for it.  Maybe they want to take you in the wrong direction or maybe they just can’t be trusted.

This is another great skill to master in life.  Did you know that it’s widely accepted that you are the average of the 5 people who you spend the most time with.  This is incredibly powerful and an amazing ‘life hack’!  Be very careful who gets your attention as this will have a big impact on your life as well as theirs.

9. Feel More Joyful And Content

If you learn to listen to that inner voice/intuition you will reap all of the above benefits.  This will make you much happier in your life and will ensure that you are living your life with purpose.   It will also ensure that you are a better friend, lover, colleague etc and that you are living your life to its full potential.

With benefits like this it’s a no-brainer to start on the journey to an activated and developed intuition.  If you would like to take the 7 day challenge just click here.
